Promoting the construction of roadbeds and deep sea aquaculture and fishing grounds to expand agricultural production space

This year, the No. 1 central document of the Central Committee stressed that under the premise of protecting the environment, we should promote the construction of roadbed and deep and offshore aquaculture and fishing grounds, and expand the field of agricultural production space. With the increasing variety and quantity of aquaculture, Fujian has begun to strengthen the construction of deep-sea aquaculture for aquatic products.

These two deep-sea aquaculture platforms for large yellow croakers are both located at the entrance of the Minjiang River, with a water depth of over 30 meters. They also have good water quality and abundant nutrients, which are conducive to the growth of large yellow croakers. Lu Tonghui introduced that this deep-sea aquaculture equipment has made him and his family no longer afraid of typhoons.

Deep sea aquaculture platforms not only prevent losses caused by typhoons, but also save a lot of labor costs due to their high degree of mechanization. A large-scale mechanized deep-sea abalone farming platform like this can cultivate over 40 tons of abalone annually. The reporter learned from Mawei Shipyard in Fujian Province that in recent years, due to the rapid development of deep-sea aquaculture, orders for deep-sea aquaculture platforms have increased significantly. From the abalone deep-sea aquaculture platform “Fubao No.1” to the “Mintou No.1”, which has the functions of both visiting and consuming cultural and tourism, the product variety and functions are gradually becoming more diverse.

As of now, relevant departments in Fujian Province have successively built more than 10 deep sea aquaculture platforms. This year, Fujian will comprehensively complete the upgrading and renovation of 440000 aquaculture and fishing rafts, and add 100 deep water anti wind and wave cages, further expanding the development space of aquatic products.

Haosail Machinery has installed the first deep-sea cage using Haosail high clear copper alloy net in Quanzhou in April 2023, and will provide high-quality products and services to more farmers in the future.
