“Fubao No.1” is the largest and far-reaching abalone breeding platform in China. It is jointly developed by Fujian Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Fujian Zhongxin Yongfeng Industrial Co., Ltd., and developed by Fujian Fuchuan Offshore Engineering Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd.
The platform is mainly composed of six parts: deck box structure, bottom pipe structure, floating body structure, column structure, breeding cage, mechanical lifting device, etc. it is a steel all welded structure. “Fubao 1” is 37.3 meters long, 33.3 meters wide, 6.6 meters designed draft, weighing about 1000 tons, with a total area of 1228.4 square meters and a total cost of more than 10million yuan. It can resist the attack of typhoons above grade 12. It is suitable for operations in sea areas with a water depth of more than 17 meters and an offshore distance of no more than 10 nautical miles. It is estimated that the annual output of abalone is about 40 tons.
