Recently, the construction of the semi-submersible floating platform of the key technology R&D and engineering demonstration project of floating offshore wind power integration deep sea aquaculture of Longyuan Electric Power Fujian Company of the National Energy Group began, marking a new breakthrough in the world’s first floating wind power and cage aquaculture integration demonstration project.
The project is located in the National Marine Farm Demonstration Area of Nanri Island, Xiuyu District, Putian City. The foundation type is a semi-submersible floating platform, with a 4 MW floating offshore wind turbine installed. At the same time, photovoltaic panels are installed on the floating platform. The hexagon is taken as the breeding area in the middle of the platform. The aquaculture water body is about 12000 cubic meters, which is used to explore the key technology of forming floating wind power integrated deep-sea aquaculture.
After the project is put into operation, it will form a new power generation mode of “fishing for electricity and fish for electricity”, realize the integration of wind, light and fishing, create a new business form of integrated development of “marine granary+blue energy”, and promote the co-promotion and co-development of “green ecology” and “blue economy”, which has important practical significance for the implementation of the national marine power strategy and the construction of ecological civilization.
